Often parents tell me that co-parenting is easier after separation, as they are happier. Happy parents mean happy kids in most cases. They have more child free time; and both parents have to ‘step up’ after separation and be equally responsible.
As for the bad and the ugly? Unfortunately, there is simply too much to say in 100 words apart from the obvious – a bad separation is ugly. Unresolved issues cause immense distress for all concerned, particularly children. Unhappy parents almost always mean unhappy kids.
