Whether you are with your family or escaping for a romantic weekend away, QT is definitely a location to add to your regular ‘weekenders’ list.
The lovely Q.T resort at Port Douglas is located in its very own tropical paradise and we were lucky enough to have the sun shining and the lagoon sparkling allowing Trent and I to relax poolside. Watching the kids play in the pool whilst getting a tan, couldn’t have been a better way to spend a weekend.
After a busy work week, QT was just what the doctor ordered and with newly furnished modern apartments and rooms accommodating both families and couples, the two-bedroom apartment in which we stayed was perfect for the four of us. It has heaps of space to laze about and all the amenities you could need for a 2 night or even 10 night stay.
In addition to the crystal clear lagoon styled pool with island deck, there is also a swim up pool bar for sipping on your favourite cold beverage, all whilst watching the kids splash about.
Before heading to dinner, I decided to book myself into Spa Q for a little pampering. With their unique array of beauty treatments available, I was able to sit back and relax as the professionally trained staff tended to my beauty needs.
While I was indulging, Trent and the kids were able to play some table tennis, a bit of billiards and even went for a quick hit of tennis, all for free. And as I found out later, went to the gift shop to Located inside the QT Resort, Qtique. This quirky gift shop was filled with scented candles, jars of lollies, gorgeous hand-made Knick-Knacks and many more unique gifts which I was fortunate enough to receive for Mother’s Day.
With dinner time approaching, we had the choice of the Bazaar, an interactive styled marketplace buffet with a huge selection of meats, pizzas, seafood, salads and more. Alternatively, we could have dined at the Estilo, showcasing a delicious assortment of tapas, all made from the local produce from the Atherton Tablelands. Even though the added bonus of being able to sit back and enjoy the meal as you take in the calming atmosphere of the regular live music, we decided to try the buffet as the spread looked really amazing and I was in the mood for some seafood, which was fresh and delicious.
QT resort was such a great place to stay especially if comfort and relaxation is required. Next time I may even go for some RNR with just the hubby.
