Andrew and his amazing team at Ellis Beach Bar & Grill are so welcoming and so accommodating to families. After two years of managing this iconic establishment and three years of ownership, Andrew has implemented a number of quality improvements to both the venue and the delicious menu.
The extensive menu offers a variety of choice in both the food and drinks department. All dietary requirements are catered for including gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian and nut allergies.
Breakfast is served from 7.30am until 11am and the menu extends from traditional big breakfast with their own shredded potato cakes, to a delicious Asian breakfast featuring BBQ pork from the smoker on jalapeno and cheddar corn with sauerkraut, two poached eggs, pickled fennel, aioli and “the other chef” smoky habasco. Wow!
The kids’ menu caught the eye of my children with the classic favourites everyone loves. All children’s meals are $10 served with side salad and thick crispy chips.
The unique American -inspired Smoked BBQ Menu, brought my husband back to the days of him visiting family in Texas – flavoursome, authentic and fresh!
We were treated to a tasting plate of their famous steam buns, delicious crispy pork belly, smoked brisket and crispy tofu followed by their Buffalo wings, jalapeno poppers (these looked like mini croquets packed with flavours of cheeseburger, tomato relish and aioli) and a BBQ Box with pulled pork, sliced brisket, BBQ chicken, potato salad and coleslaw.
Perfectly paired with a bottle of White Rabbit craft beer, we found even the beverages stuck to the spicy and smoked theme with extensive boutique beers on offer to excite your palette.
These sizzling smoky flavours, which extend throughout much of the menu, are also available for purchase in their range of sauces and condiments so you can recreate your own fantastic feast at home.
Ellis Beach Bar & Grill prides itself on their sustainability and they are doing their part to reduce their carbon footprint with recycled furniture, a spring water supply, 100 percent LED lighting and even reusable wine bottles transformed into citronella oil holders.
