Allow us to introduce you to the incredible trio who are this years Cairns Show Ambassadors: the dynamic Young Rural Ambassador, Maeve Lowe; the trailblazing Rural Ambassador, Heidi Healy; and the exceptional Showgirl, Alannah Giuffrida.
Meet Maeve Lowe, the Young Rural Ambassador, who not only excels as a dedicated student but also holds the esteemed position of Senior School Captain at Tully State High School
Maeve is diving headfirst into the thrilling world of Agriculture, pursuing a Certificate III in Business and exploring exciting future opportunities.
She is fueled by her love for the Cairns Show, where she takes delight in showcasing and judging cattle, as well as training her faithful working dog.
Maeve’s commitment goes beyond the Showgrounds as she actively engages in community initiatives such as the World’s Greatest Shave and proudly represents Peninsula Touch Football. Join Maeve on her inspiring journey and become part of a vibrant and inclusive community.
Next up is Heidi Healy, the fearless Rural Ambassador, whose upbringing on a cattle station has instilled in her a deep understanding of Agriculture.
With her expertise in mustering and experience in Braham Cattle breeding, Heidi is a true force to be reckoned with. But her talents extend beyond the fields.
Heidi’s versatility shines through her diverse roles, including managing an admin office and fearlessly venturing into entrepreneurship.
She has successfully established her own family day care and a thriving beauty business, all while fostering community collaboration and creating valuable opportunities for women in the industry.

Last but certainly not least, meet Alannah Giuffrida, the exceptional Miss Showgirl for 2023. Alannah’s remarkable accomplishments were recognised in 2023 when she was honored with the title of Cairns Young Citizen of the Year
As the Executive Officer at the Cairns Chamber of Commerce and a true high achiever, Alannah serves as an inspiration to us all. Armed with a Bachelor of Business from JCU and an impressive collection of academic accolades, including the prestigious PwC Prize, Alannah embodies excellence in every aspect.
But her dedication doesn’t stop there. Alannah actively volunteers at Northern Pride and serves as a Director on the Connect Communities FNQ Board, making a positive impact in our community. Join Alannah on her extraordinary journey and allow her to ignite your own passion for success.
