Mount Peter Early Learning has now opened in the new Mount Peter Estate. Our nature-based educational programs, designed for children’s individual learning, ensure that all children are reaching their potential and are preparing for life. These programs are designed by our highly qualified staff who hold Bachelor Degrees in Early Childhood Education.
Our outdoor area reflects the natural environment that is fundamental to our programs. Our building has been designed with natural light in mind while the ventilation captures the rainforest valley breezes.
Learning the natural way
There is research into why children are now suffering from, as Richard Louv terms it, “Nature Deficit Disorder” and the wellbeing that children find when immersed in nature and natural environments. Access to nature is essential for a child’s healthy physical and emotional development.
Excursions
Our 28-seater coach is available to take all children in our three-year-old programs. They enjoy trips out to the nature parks, the reef and conservation awareness programs. They also go to to libraries, performances, galleries and museums so they can learn naturally in the real world. We are preparing children for life and for reaching their potential.
We are committed to ‘action research’. Our ‘Playing with Gratitude’ project will see us further invest in the emotional prosperity of your children.
Meal times
At Mount Peter Early Learning, children’s nutritional needs are also met through our café service. Dietary requirements, allergies and intolerances can be catered for. Children have access to healthy eating options all throughout the day. They can help themselves to food or meals in the regular food services times. They also have the option to ‘graze’ during the café’s large opening times for those children who prefer eating more frequently.
Join us for breakfast in the café as you drop off in the morning to help make arrival for your children less hurried and rushed. Perhaps you can bring some work with you and use the free Wi-Fi and office facilities. All of these things are available to make your children’s transitions less stressful and to create opportunities to just ‘be’ with us.
